well, first off this would probably get better results in the catfish craddle or whatever its called. I don't know much about pl*cos except that the larger varieties are stool factories! They just never cease to pooh! Very annoying. I'm thinking you got a dwarf species though...almost sounds like a bristle nose. Eh, i'm sure more people will respond...sorry i'm such a nitwit! GL!!

Here is a link that should help you: Planet Catfish
The page itself doesn't have much information other than photos but if you click "search Planet Catfish" you should get some help.

Well, it took me on a while goose-chase really, but I did find out that the "Chocolate Pleco's" scientific name is: Glyptoperichthys scrophus and it grows up to 10 & 3/4 inches long and originated from peru. It is part of the armored catfish family!!!

CFC....where are you!!!!!!!!!!!!! :S

I'll track you down...... :shifty:

CFC isn't a great fan of L-number plecs Silver, says they hide to much. Have you got the true Chocalate Plec Glyptoperichthys scrophus common name Chocolate Pleco, Rhino Pleco or is it the Hypancistrus sp. (L270) or Chocolate Zebra Plec.

Chocolate Zebra Plec - Reaches roughly 4 inches and prefers more meatier foods like bloodworm, the tank should also contain bogwood for feeding.

Chocolate Plec - Reach between 10 and 12 inches and prefer a more vegtable matter based diet, eating algae and algae wafers altough as with the Cocolate Zebra veg and meaty foods should be included in their diet, bogwood is essentail for this guy.

Good Luck
