Well, maybe a couple of shrimp would spawn in a large bowl, if the proper conditions were maintained consistently.

I would not suggest breeding anything in a bowl. Bad idea.

The babies need room to swim too. Depending on what kind of fish you have, the fry should get at least a 10 gallon tank so they have room to grow. In a larger tank, its easier to maintain proper water conditions as well.
