Issolate and bacterial med as it could be septicemia.
Anything sharp in the tank.

How many gallons is the tank.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Septicemia

Symptoms:

Fish may have reddening at fin bases, blood streaks throughout the fins and body, small hemorrhages around the eyes. Dull listless behavior and lack of appetite may also be present.

Cause:

Systemic bacterial infection caused by various bacteria, including Aeromonas, Pseudomonas and Vibrio. The illness is often brought on by poor water quality or as a result of parasitic infestations or other infections. These bacteria enter the blood stream and circulate through the tissues causing inflammation and damage. Inflamed blood vessels in the skin and at fin bases stand out. Blood vessel and heart tissue damage cause hemorrhaging and consequently leakage of body fluids into the abdomen, which may lead to Dropsy.

Treatment:

Water conditions must be improved for all fish in the tank, regardless of how many fish are infected. Check your water’s Treat with Kanacyn or Tetracycline as well as with a medicated food if the fish will eat. If parasites are suspected, all the fish in the tank should be treated with antiparasitic medication. Using salt to help restore osmotic balance might be helpful.

the only other tank I have is the one that has the platy in that is being treated with myxazin and pimafix plus at the moment this tank is being treated for whitespot, i am having the worst couple of weeks!!!

Never rains burn pours.
Corys are not prone to whitespot but I wouldn't move the fish as you could transfer the whitespot to the other tank.
What whitespot med are you using?

:) I'm using King British WS3 every other day with my water temp at 30 Celsius

Read the instuctions on the whitespot med to see if you can use a king british bacterial med with the whitespot med.

Ok.
All you can do is really add the cory to the other tank. Anti internal bacteria med by interpet with of been a better med for suspected septicemia.
But you could risk causing whitespot in the other tank with the platy in.

If you move the cory match ph and temp.

So I should add the cory in the hospital tank with my platy (that i am treating with myxazin and pimafix because he has columnaris) but I could also risk giving the platy white spot? and i should match the ph and temp of 30C but that will make my platy worse as i am keeping at 24C.

I don't know if this helps but on my pimafix bottle it says "helps with reddening of fins and body"

"never rains but it pours" lol

No don't raise temp to 30 in hospital tank.
Corys are not prone to whitespot.
How long have you been using the whitespot med.

You will have to climatise him gradually to the lower temp.

Today is day 4 of WS3 treatment and tomorrow is the third dose to add to the tank. Should i move him immediately?

He needs treating.
Try and not add any water from main tank to hospital tank when putting him in there.
Climatise him in a jug and net him out and place him in the hospital tank.

Got the cory and platy together now added some rock and slate so he could hideout. the platy is a lot more active today he has a bit of tail fin damage though and still has his original white patch on his back. And as for the main tank, the white spot is a lot better :)
