since im getting like 6 new females... can i move some people from my 10G to my other 10G so i can have like... room to add a few femmes to my 10G!?!?!?!

10G things will be moved too: 1dojo, 2lemons, 2head and tail lights, 1glassfish, 3endlers! i was thinking about puting my mollies and my cories in there (molly fry not the bigger one :p)

10G for femmes: 1pleco (he is being moved soon), 3ottos, a kulhi loach, 1 female betta, 2 mollies, 3 cories (wanting to move them) 4 mollie fry (moving them too) and a snail... it is filtered by 2 filters, a 10G filter and a 15G filter!! :) im currently looking for stuff to keep my bettas in... lol i didnt know i was getting 8 :p

you need to explain yourself much better....that sounds like an awful lot of fish for two 10 gallon tanks...

 i have an extra 10G!! and my pleco is going back to the LFS 2morrow

and since i only have 1 femme in there already i was only wanting to add 3.. so i will have 4 femmes, 2 mollies, a kulhi, and 3 ottos!!

um, you are just as bad as wwestar

so be it...everywhere i have read 20g is recommended minimum....4-6" is pretty big...i'm not even gonna bother though - keep your fish just don't ask for advice like this....

umm no you are :) my mollies are at 2 inches... in like 2 or 3 weeks they are moving to a 25G to cycle it sooo please keep your rudeness to yourself :) thank you and i didnt ask you... if i had asked for your comment i would of said " something about my 10G... abstract please help me!" :p so BLEH i dont want you help and i dont need it i can go ask someone else... or better yet if you'd of read my other topic im getting a 10G for the females 2morrow!

Instead of cycling with your mollies, why don't you try some ammonia :D That might save them any pain going through that :) Probably much easier!

wow everyone is so touchy today...

you asked what you could do...i asked you to be more specific about the tank situation because you are extremly unclear when you say 10g this 10g that..you are returning a pleco so i made a suggestion that would free up space, the topic of the original post...rude?

sorry i didn't read your other topic, there are some i choose to skip over for various reasons  (aka trying to help people)...

and don't get me started about not doing a fishless cycle...you most loooove those mollies...

It's very possible that cycling with fish will kill them, and if it doesn't, they'll at least be permanently damaged and weakened from it. Look up fishless cycling, it's very easy, much quicker and doesn't hurt or kill any fish.

ummm hi these are my mollies ok :) just checking... they have cycled many tanks for me ok? my 10G my other 10G and my BFs 55G sooooo yea dont jump to conclusions... abstract and wwestar are the reason most people dont ever come back to this forum and its the reason why im leaving soon! im tired of saying one thing and getting a response from ignorant know-it all stuck ups who dont know the sistuation!!!

No, I highly doubt that. IMO abstract's posts have always been well thought out and carefully worded. I can't recall ever seeing a post of theirs that put me over the top. You, on the other hand daudy, have been spamming the boards for a couple of months now and it's really becoming too much. Post less.

and its the reason why im leaving soon!
Why wait?

im tired of saying one thing and getting a response from ignorant know-it all stuck ups who dont know the sistuation!!!
The pot calls the kettle black.

Frankly, your tanks sound grossly overstocked and using your mollies as cycle fish repeatedly is cruel. My advice~ get more tanks, or stop getting fish that you can't keep comfortable.

OK, whoa, everybody calm down.

OK, Daudy, let me get this clear, you want to move some things out of the second 10g you listed into the first one so there will be room in the second for 6 female bettas? Am I right?

IF that is what you are saying, it seems like it would be a bit crowded. I think that's all Abstract was trying to say. If you don't agree, or if that isn't the case, let it roll off, don't worry so much about what he says.

You said you had an extra 10g and a 25g. I am confused about the final homes for the fish. Your original post made it sound like everyone was staying in these 2 tanks (except the pleco, you did say he was leaving)

Give us your plans for the FINAL SET UP. Then we can give you our input with all the info. What you do on a temporary basis is none of our business, really and you have to do what you have to do. I think we all understand that.

As far as cycling with mollies, or whatever fish...It won't kill them if there aren't too many fish in the tank and you pay attention to what is going on. You already know that, you have done it. Don't let advice you know to be wrong (or perhaps overly cautious), from experience, have you thinking people think you are stupid. They are just trying to keep your fish safe, not accuse you of anything.

Maybe that's why they're only at 2"?

Honey, people on this forum are only trying to help you and your fish. It's your choice whether you take their advice or not, but know that anything they suggest is in the best interest of your fish.
I agree that a 10 gallon is too small for mollies, and if you had ever seen mollies that had reached their full size potential you might know that as well. You're free to keep them of course, since they're your fish, but just know that keeping them in a 10 gallon is not the absolute best for them.

I'd offer more advice but I'm way too confused at this point about which fish are in what with whom  :S
