Another moron that can't control her dog...

Never trust another dog, only if you know the dog and find it to be very gentle. In connecticut, I had a yellow lab, and our neighbors had a dog that was half wolfe. Well, one day that dog spasmed and ran across his electric fence, attacked my dog, and nearly killed her.

yikes...is he ok now??

Bruno really is friendly....more so towards dogs....if anything, he's a big chicken! when he first came over, my dog was excited to see some other dog in our yard, and went runnin after him....he was over that fence in under 3 seconds! lol. he's also been attacked before by our neighbors male yellow lab...he did nothing to protect himself, but instead never came back to their yard....guess he learned his lesson over there! but ya...the point is, he wouldn't show aggresiveness even when being attacked....even though he is a medium size dog, as opposed to the HUGE yellow lab....

That Dumb A** lady i woulda let belle loose on em . If she wouldnt have done anything i would have barked at em myself!!!!!

I don't think Belle was wrong about barking and I would have had a few choice words with that woman myself... I've never had problems with dogs that my families had, they were all pretty well trained and sociable. When I was a kid we had a golden (actually he was pretty red lol) retriever named Storm and we took him for walks on the trails in the woods with no leash, he never bugged other dogs or people or horses. Well, we were walking up from a swimming hole with Storm walking ahead of us, and we came around a bend of Mt. Laurel to find him standing stock still. Me and my brother stopped because he was so alert and we saw that there was a rottie standing there with no leash on either, and he wasn't looking that friendly towards me and my brother. We both looked at each other like 'oh $h!T', then the rottie charged us. Storm reared up, the rottie reared up, they started duking it out, the rotties owner came running yelling 'Killer, No!!' we're yelling at Storm, they finally seperated, we grabbed Storm and the guy grabbed 'Killer'. We were so mad because that guy knew what kind of dog he had, and it wasn't on a leash. I have nothing against rotties or anything but that particular dog wasn't playing, and he tried to get to me and my brother the whole time except Storm wouldn't move out of his way. I just don't understand why people have such a hard time controling their dogs, everytime I'm with a friend they let the dog just drag them along, I walk the same dog and I have them heeling in a matter of minutes. How hard is it to hold the leash back and actually tell the dog no? People just let their dogs run all over them, and then they wonder why things happen like that...

you know how little kids have "choice" hearing? where you can say "clean your room" and they don't hear you, and you say "icecream" and everyone is goin nuts? well, my dog seems to have that little problem....cuz she doesn't listen to me when she don't want to. for example, she'll be in the back yard and it's time to come in...well, i yell at her to come in n stuff, and she acts like she can't even hear me! she is completely unresponsive...like she goes deaf! she only started doing this just this year....so i thought "maybe it is a hearing problem?". so one day while she was sound asleep, i very quietly said her name...and POP! she's up!
but ya, when she decides to pull this little choice hearing thing on me, i just go up to her, and slap her(NOT hard enough to hurt her) and she listens right away!
when i'm taking her for a walk she does pull on the leash alot, but only to sniff things nearby. one day i took her for a walk, and at least 3 people had loose dogs that approached us....luckily the only thing any of them wanted to do was sniff! lol.

i don't know about other peoples dogs, but it's can be hard for me to tell my dog what to do....if she makes it hard :sly: otherwise, she is a really good dog, and listens when she knows i'm being serious...like when i say "NOW!" it gets her attention, and she knows i mean business. :flex:
