I must not be seeing the same thing... Don't go postal on me, I'm sure ill notice after you say.... but what's wrong with that? Saying that it's perfect for Goldfish?

2 Things, IMO:

1) The size. :) From the looks of the picture, It's probably a 10 Gallon. Goldfish get pretty big and (if kept properly) can live for several years. (I believe, but don't quote me, you can get about at least 5 years out of them. It might be more...)

2) If you're going to sell a tank, don't say "Hey, I have a tank that can house 2 goldfish." Give details. The more the better. :)

Thought so. cool. Some one should let him know that. Someone will foolishly buy it and put goldfish in there and wonder why they die.

Goldfish live 20+ years and need ten gallons a piece (for fancies, others need a pond)

Did you see how high he has the gravel in that thing? Assuming it is a ten, he's basically made it a three.

Thanks Sorrell. I ALMOST said 20, but I wasn't sure. :)

that tank is in no way shape or form suitable for anything like a goldfish
I would like to meet these people and squash them in a small space for 20+ years!

I've seen much worse. The gravel is high but not as high as it appears. It's also uneven.

Oh dear! Common Goldfish and Fancies should have a minimum of 20 gallons and 10 additional gallons for each Goldfish. Comets would need at least 100-125 gallons IMO when fully grown because of the room they need to swim. :)

That doesn't look like a ten gallon to me.It looks like a 5... look at everything in proportion to it.

Also, if you're thinking of those huuuuge gold fish, those are at least 6 to 10 years old.. so that tank would be okay for young goldens. Normally they get larger to whatever size tank you have.

I know a guy with a 100 something gallon tank and they have a bit of those gold fish, the one's that are white and golden, or just gold. They're about 9 years old. Plus you can always upgrade. But yeah, false advertising isn't good.

I've heard that before, but based on a post I had here some time ago, I was told that fish don't grow to the size of their enviornment. What really happens is if the fish doesn't have enough room to grow out, their growth is "stunted". Their internal organs still grow, but their body cannot. What results is the fish are more susecptible to illness and disease and their lifespan is shortened.

Then in response to that, everyone should research any type of fish they plan on getting. I stick with bettas and aquatic frogs. So i'm not too familiar with other fish.
