Angelfish Spawned

Just spent most of the morning catching the first batch so that the parent's can have some peace while raising the second batch.

Going to be busy today!

Waw, just read your thread there! Looks like you have a couple of friskey angels on your hands

Lovely looking angels you have by the way, looking forward to see what the fry will look like. Look forward to reading more updates.... keep them coming!

aaw this is fantastic :) what are you going to do with the fry when there older? congrats again btw haha

luck pair :p

Batch 1 - 2 week old fry - is in their new set up now, Did 10 gallon sizes for ease of feeding, will spread them out more as they grow.

Batch 2 - 3 day old fry - some have starting hatching and are now in the very early wiggling stage!

Pictures when I get home from work. No time to upload right now. Will probably keep a couple of ones that really stand out to me and sell the rest.

Sorry got tied up yesterday - -
Here are photos from Nov 25th, 2 week old fry and 3 day old fry in the wiggler stage.

Batch 1 - 2 weeks old as of Nov 25 2012. They seemed to have split into two groups, one on each end of the tank. I estimate I still have 75-90 fry. Out of the 141 eggs laid where 30+ went bad....I wouldn't say I am doing that bad.

aw wow yes starting to look like angel now :) you able to count them yet haha :p was there any difference in the parents raised or the ones your raised your self?

I left batch two solely with the parents, I didn't separate them as I did the first batch and there has been a much higher die off rate than batch 1 experienced.

I haven't tried counting them...but now I want to....hmmm...maybe if I get bored enough after dinner!

Ok....counted batch 1 three times....once I counted 83, second time I counted 89 and third time I counted 92....

So....I am going to say somewhere between 80 and 90....they kept moving (obviously!) so chances are I could have missed a few or counted a few twice....

Still, from only about 140 eggs laid and 30+ going bad....not doing too shabby!!!

i know nice one :) still 80 to 90 that is amazing :) i would be happy with like 5 :p haha
