Evening y'all just wondering out of curiosity what other foods can be given to angelfish. I currently feed them tropical flake food and occasionally bloodworms which they go crazy for  I am new to keeping angelfish could anyone give me some hints and tips on how to keep them?

Cheers cockers

I'm a total novice and 12 months in to Aquarium ownership.

However, my 4 Angel's are doing very well on the same diet you give yours so it must be ok for them!

Thanks for the reply mate they are pretty cool fish ain't they :D what other fish do you keep with your 4 angel fish?

Daphnia would be a nice treat for them as well :)

Tank is currently stocked with the 4 angels, 6 Congo tetra (inc. 3 yellow tail), rainbow shark and a sailfin plec.

All the fish are still growing and the plec is currently 6 inches long.

They all get along just fine with the shark stamping down on any bullying from the biggest Angel fish!

I am working on the business case for a larger tank as will be required as they all grow up but so far, growth has been slow despite plenty of the above food.

I'd love more in there, but it's not right to overstock and I'm keeping a close eye on things at the moment.

I got the tank very naively off ebay with 3, 5+ inch oscars and the plec but the Oscars were already too big - honestly, the ebay add made them look much more peaceful. It was hard taking them in for rehoming as they had wonderful personalities but the new bunch are cool as well.

try australian blackworm and discus/cichlid pellets/granules

My Angelfish love all meaty foods (tubifex/bloodworm/brine shrimp/artemia, you name it), and most dried foods, like Cory Pellets and Granules. But they totally blank vegetables which is about the only think they DON'T eat
