Is this situation recoverable.

For a few weeks now my nem has been showing signs of not being happy, nitrattes had gone through the roof and have controlled them back down with lots of water changes, i had also in incedent of the Ph dropping to 7.7 in the hurry of trying to recover the tank (My fault).

My nem although gripping on to gravel and rocks has been puffing and retracting excessivly and moving around in the tank. It has now been moved up higher in the tank and in a stronger water flow to try and revive it but alas little bits are starting to break up/off - i can only imaging this in not a good sign but can it be recovered, i have worked out that he has been happy in my tank for 3 years with no problems what so ever and in the last few months it has not been overly happy

I am totally gutted if i am losing it, the picture on my profile was taken mid december at happier time and is now in a sorry state.

if you can keep the water perfect for the next few months, then it might recover. However, once bits start falling off them, they are usually too far gone.
Move it away from any strong currents but have some gentle water movement around it. Give it good light and maybe increase the photoperiod by another hour or two.
Minimise the amount of food going into the tank for the next few weeks. The other inhabitants won't starve but the less food, the cleaner the water will be and the more chance of the anemone recovering.

I'd also do what Colin said. wish I could offer more advice

Have moved him away in a nice gentel current and up in the tank closer to the lights , i have not extended my photo period yet but he seems to be staying put so fingers crossed. Have tested the water but taking a sample over to my LFS for double checking and carry out more frequent water changes to keep the water good.

I a bid to keep nitrates down to as low as possible i trying to get hold of some cheato to put into my ruge in lieu of my calpura.

I feed every other day but may make this longer every now and again. Also my Regal Tang is getting too big for the tank so am looking to get him out and replace him with two small fish (Unsure yet what to replace him with) this should reduce such a large fish stinking up the tank.

Nem passed away over weekend, water was double checked by LFS and concluded that water chemistry was fine although nitrates were still higher than i hoped (25mg/l) and with no other noticable health issues with any other livestock or corals.

Just have to put this down to experiance in becoming too comfortable in tank maintiance. A lesson hard learned and a warning to all othes who read this.

Thankfully it didn'y nuke the tank in the process.
