so got to go get a new piece of glass cut remove that piece and reseal the whole thing . the plan is a low light planted tank with 8-10 neons, pair of german blue rams 1 or 2 dwarf gouramis and 3 otos for algea duty.

i wouldnt use it for aquarium if its been used for a turtle for all its life, unless ur sure its a-ok

After you repair it, clean it with a bleach/water solution. I clean all used tanks with at least that, sometimes stronger stuff if they are really filthy. After that, they are clean enough for anything.

yeah It will be getting a good cleaning and re sealing after replacing the one piece of glass. no, no turtles for me lol, just fish. I like this all-glass company it has the date made and the maker listed on the bottom of the tank (may 1995) can't wait to get this done then my acrylic tank project will start (that one will take a while but should be fun more info on that later).

That looks like a sump tank or something? What was it before you got it?
EDIT: Oh, a tutle tank? Are you sure? That looks remarkably strange for a turtle tank to me!

yep turtle tank, 20 long with 1/3 top of side missing so you can place a hob filter on that side and have water and have a dry side on the other side. I'm positive because it was my g/f's old tank . pictures will come after I reseal it and clean it (hopefully next week sometime )
