ammonia for fishless cycling

Can anybody suggest where I can find the pure ammonia that I will need for the cycling. I'm all out of ideas . Everything in the supermarket seems to be scented.
Any help will be appreciated.

you can get it from boots...its called boots household ammonia.

i believe jayes do one too

brilliant.... good luck with the cycle... have you turned you tepm right up? it does seem to help

infact nitrifying bacterias optimal growth temperature is between 85 and 95

not trying to hijack this, but will water from an established tank work for getting ammonia for a cycling tank?

no not water... anything else from the tank will help though...like ornaments, gravel, plants, filter media etc... all that is in the water is basically waste..


i once used all the gunk from a gravel clean though and soaked my new filer material in it...not sure if it helps or not but im sure it didnt do any harm
