Not tried it, but they make a pretty bold statement "No need for a test kit".

Really? It would have to be a serious peice of equipment for me to throw away my API kit.....

Sounds like when you buy a budget made movie and it says 'better then ______' on the front cover 9 times out of 10, it is awful.

I would rather rely on my test kit... we know how stick on temperature strips can vary..probably the same with these.

LOL i wouldnt use this to replace my tests. I was thinking when you walk past take a quick peak could save your fish one day.
