Planning ahead is a dangerous hobby of mine.
When my wife and I have found ourselves a decent place to buy, i'll be making a few alterations so I can indulge in my dream.
Do you think this may be a bit ambitious?
Actual capacity to the brim works out @ 521 UK Gallons although those are only approx dimensions at this stage so it will probably end up somewhere around the 475-500 mark.
Obviously I would be using 12mm or 18mm plate glass with braces shown in red.
The vast-quarium will be on a solid concrete stand with a 1" ply base board and 2" high Density Polystyrene between that and the concrete.
I am considering making the hood in three sections, which will be a challenge all of it's own.
I had also thought of two removable dividers to make three tanks should the need arise.
Once I have that up and running, I can indulge in a few plecs
