Hello,
I recently bought a small Amazon Sword plant for my tank. I thought I checked it before I bought but I missed some small vein like things on it. It looks as though the plant was creased and "broke" in those spots. When I noticed I thought it may have been from shipping, but the lines have appeared to spread. It is just on one leaf of the plant, but as it is just a small plant I am worried about loosing it.

If you have any idea what is causeing this or general Amazon Sword advise that would be great!
Thanks

When you find something like that I tend to take the whole leaf off the plant. That way it can't spread and you don't have to worry about it any more. Swords are very hardy so don't fret too much about loosing it, chances are in your favor that it'll be around for a good while.

Yeah, I agree, take the leaf off. Swords are tough. It is quite possible for them to loose all their leaves and survive, new growth coming from the rootstock.

Yea Swords are strong plants i had some pacus who ate mine all the way down bellow the gravel. Now its growing back with alot more leafs its alt more full. I was planing on making a grow tank and doing that to swords so i can get them to grow realy full and lush.
