I have quite a few fry in a separate tank but one is all black...

The fish in the tank are, 2 female swordtails, 1 male, 4 female platys, 1 male, 2 female guppies, 1 male and 1 male dalmatian molly.

The only black fish in the tank is a swordtail and the dalmatian molly is more black than silver.

It doesn’t look like guppies or platy fry and they are the only fry I have in the separate tank, I don’t think I have any swordtail fry.

Orange and white platys, Silver Guppies with different colour tails, black male swordtail and 2 orange swordtails and a black & silver male molly

The pure black fry is almost certainly a molly :)

But how if I have no female mollys?

Are you sure they are both male mollies?

Occasionally you'll get a pure black guppy but it will invariably die within a week :(

My guess is the swords, i got a batch of almost all orange swords, but both male and female are orange. The black of the male, may just be a more dominant color. Good luck and keep us posted on how they are doing. Sandy
