Air Pump

Hey,

Do I have to keep my air pump above the tank? I have no-where to put it above the tank and was wondering if it would affect it if i put it below the tank

Should be fine i think....
A; as long as you have a drip loop on the plug lead....
B; you get a non return valve on the pumps outlet tube...

agree with germ. The drip loop and non return valve are needed to prevent water siphoning back into the air pump. Assuming you have a non-return valve and drip loop, it would be fine to run the pump benieth tank.

Ive ran mine underneath for years (well in the cupboard part to stop any noise) - never had a problem - ive not got a non return valve tho - it will only syphon if its sucked through somehow i thought (allthough its probably safer to get one lol)
