I have a 60 Litre tank at the moment with 4 male guppies and 2 male platies in it. Yesterday I completed a water change and installed a new light bulb (aqua glo) but since then I have noticed that my sunset platy has been chasing my other male, blue platy - any ideas why? :/ It has never previously been a problem!?

I would consider adding some females? I have heard that males on their own can show signs of aggression. Maybe they are just hitting maturation and want to breed.

+1.
Give them some girls, you'll need a 1M/2F ratio with the guppies though, otherwise the females will get harassed and stressed out. Not sure with platies, but good luck pal :)

Problem is I don't want mini platies, and it's quite a small tank?

The fry will be eaten pretty quickly.

To be honest, most of the fry will probably be eaten. But if not, you may have been better getting just females if your worried about babies. Although even then, you may buy one already pregnant. Adding females is the only solution I can think of asides from adding my hiding spaces so the two males may form their own territories.

i had too many males which were being mega aggressive,

went to LFS bought some more females which did wonders

its a peaceful tank now
