the "control" of size sounds like stunted growth to me??
There regulary in Gordon Riggs Garden Centre but the rochdale based one last time i was there i asked him when he gets them in and he said he always has them in as he has an exporter where ever they are from so he gets monthly shipments of them
i'll have a look next time im over there pard and if they are i would be happy to for ya mate should be going over in the next week if not i shall give them a ring

I was under the impression both traders and keepers required a license for this species, how do you go about getting one???

yep the retailer needs a licence, only a few places are allowed to keep them.
i am already sorted with my licence thru the pet licencing and animal welfare (made friends with those departments, and now spy on retailers for them)
