African Dwarf Frog Problems

We honestly are just trying to help. We don't want your frog to die, but unless you give us the answers we need, we can't help your frog. These animals are sold in tropical fish stores to unsuspecting customers like you. They are not community fish. They are aquatic amphibians. They have different needs than tropical fish have. You said your tank has been up for a month and you sound very frustrated. I take it things are not going the way you pictured. The reason for this is the fact that your filter probably isn't cycled and you have not done any research on the animals you are trying to keep. This will also be your frog's problem. These guys are very sensitive to ammonia and nitrite. You need to get a test kit or have your water tested at your lfs. Or you can sit and watch your frog die. Since you seem so frustrated, and you are asking for help, I don't think you want this to happen. Please, help us to help you. Answer our questions and we will do what we can to help. I will even help with some research, which I have already started on your behalf.

Sorry I dont know the exact names of all my fish but I didnt just buy random ones. So I take it I shouldnt keep the frog in the same tank as my fish then, since i feed the fish more then i would with the frogs.

I'm kind of hoping you will move these to a larger tank if this is what they are I think those 3 yellow and black fish with red tails are clown loaches. Clowns are shoaling fish requiring a 75 gallon tank and being in groups of at least 5

Well they're not, all my fish are good for a 20 gal tank they are all tropical community

Im sorry but without knowing what fish you have you cannot say that they are suitable for your tank or to go with your other fish. Without knowing what they are your water could be wrong, your stocking could be wrong . . . among other things. The only fish you have named correctly are the mollys . . . is your water brackish for them?

Iv had the tank for a month its a long tank and I dont know the levels of nitrite. There is a moss ball and another plant along with two fake plants and decoration. I think I have seen it shed, there was stuff coming off the frog about a week ago. I have two bottom feeders two suckers two rosy daniels two mollys and three red tailed fish dont knwo the actual name of them. I feed bloodworms and tropical crisps. I just would like to know if it is different for the frogs to float on the surface alot?

Well for starters I would rehome the sucker fish as they are most likely common plecs with reach a size to 2 feet and they shouldnt be housed together in such a small tank, Go to your lfs and get your water tested then post your results here.

Mollys can live in freshwater so that isnt a problem and Im sure we can assume that this is not brackish.

Snake007 I know mollys can live in fresh water, it was a rather poor attempt at pointing out that the OP cant assume that all his fish are compatible and right for their tank. A better example is yours on the plecos.
