no problem i am currently doing the fishless cycle on my tank on the nitrite inside 24hrs part at minute, and have been helped through it from people on here i am by no mean an expert but if i can help i will.

Yes, very clear advice from Ren&Stumpy.
Test the pH from time to time also.

Tested ammonia tonight and it's still at 2.4ppm

Didn't you start your fishless cycle just last Wednesday? If so then its been less than a week so we would not expect ammonia to be dropping very fast yet, may still take days for it to drop.

Here's an ideal type of post to make to us to help evaluations as you go along: (just making this up, will probably forget something, lol)

(Hypothetical)
(Day 4 - ammonia topped up to 5ppm)
Day 6 - Fishless Cycle on 15g/57L non-planted tank:
Temp=84F, Amm=2.7, NO2=0, NO3(not tested), pH=7.6, water - clear

The post would more or less mirror your logbook entry. make sense?
