Add Algae Eater To Betta Tank

A 10gal is no place for a 5 inch fish . Hence a bristlenose is not really suitable.

Bristle noses don't do there best in a 10 gallon tank, they can survive but they won't be as happy and healthy as they would be in a 20 to 30 gallon tank
And +1 on what zoddy said
Example- a common goldfish can survive in a ten gallon tank but won't be as happy and heathy as they would in a decent sized pond, and it would also die younger than it would in a pond because it's growth would be stunted
