Absolutely Heartbroken

So I spent the last couple of days at my boyfriends house like I do in the middle of every week, I came home today, re-scaped the sororities, and then headed upstairs to check on everyone in my room... When I walked in I saw that 4 out of the 5 bettas in my room were dead...

I lost Sheldon my yellow/blue marble VT

Panther my pink dalmation VT

Leonard my copper butterfly HMPK

And Caesar my steel blue HM

Apparently we got a call on wednesday from the village not to use the water because there was a water main break... the only thing I can think of was maybe the water was bad before wednesday, because I put new water in the tanks in my room on saturday, but none of the other tanks, and all of the other fish are fine...

I am just absolutely heartbroken...

I would be too, I am so sorry to hear about your loss, it really is heartbreaking! They were all so beautiful. I once lost a tank of goldies I had for 8 years trying to save them from some illness but it affected my whole stock and I didn't have the resources, knowledge or know how to save them other than the advice of the LFS. Unfortunately, I lost my whole stock which was 5 Goldies, but like I said, I had them 8 years. It was totally heartbreaking. I can relate to that loss. There was nothing you could do, it is not your fault, just circumstance although I'm sure you still feel terrible. Wish I could say something to make you feel better but there really is nothing anyone can say, I understand. But it may be a little reassuring to know a lot of people here do care and are saddened for your loss, as I am.
