d - freinds i get a fair bit of aggro about it when were all sneakin on the net in lessons (like now lol) and there all on "cool" sites whilst im on here but ah well

my mum goes on about the electricity but thats about it.

Would most definitely be the wifey! She bitched so much when I got my first tank about a year ago. Then even more whenever I got another one. But I think she likes the 55 gallon now, she actually let me put it in the living room. She still bitches every time I buy new fish though, because "I always get more fish but she never gets anything." She wanted to get freakin rabbit yesterday when I bought some more Tiger Barbs! I was like you already have a cat, we don't need anything else that craps in the house.

My friends/co-workers all seem to like them. I actually gave one of my friends my old 30 gallon, now I'm helping him get started with the hobby. Always nice to spread the addiction!

i had to say c ma friends. When ever i have a picture of a fish in ma pic on msn they like say do u love fish or something and i like say yes and at least they not d~~k heads like u lot. but when it come to an exam question about fish they say jonny what the anwer, it quite funny how they take the mix but sometime they need ma help about it

edit:my bro is also a pain not that he hates fish but that he aparently always right just becauase he own his own tank wiuth some fish and of course it look better than mine (each to their own)
my other family are the one who got me into it and they would like me to get better and bigger tanks to look at instead of tv but they do like to tell me what fish i should buy

my family doesnt really care about my addiction too fish, probably as its tucked away in my room and isnt large. Im dreading getting a new tank as ill get grilled for it!

none apply to me my mates don't care as long as i go out with them eachday lol.

my family love my tanks so i have no complaints, my mum loves it so much she actualy helps me out quite often.

just my mum who gives me a bit of grief, she just thinks it's a bit of a waste of money. my dad got me into it though and my sisters think it's pretty cool. The fella's just got his first tank and he's worse than me. Most of my mates are pretty oblivious to it, my best mate is scared of fish and roll's her eyes at me sometimes... but doesn't give me grief.

Basically only time I get hassle is if I tell my Mum how much I've spent or ask to lend money.

B for my son who tends to kid me a bit about it (you know, the whole rolling of the eyes when I mention stopping at the LFS).

C for one of my brothers who thinks it's childish to be doing something like this even though he collects Mickey Mouse items! My other (much smarter) brother thinks it's just fine as he keeps reef tanks and has a koi pond!

While my husband doesn't participate in the upkeep, he does like the fish and he likes to come with me to the LFS when I go to buy something. Picks out fish or inverts too! Like my new clam in the reef tank, he liked it and encouraged me to get it!
My father who will be 80 this year, tends to shake his head when I mention something new, but yet he stares at my tanks for hours.....

Definately C. My brother gets really p***ed off when I want to go to my lfs. (but I hit him then my parents say "right no money for any fish or a new tank this week!" But I'll just find another way to get money) My dad doesn't mind because he is pretty supportive, and my mum says "Fine, but I'm not coming in" (Typical Mum) Sometimes my friends are like "How do you get all your fish tanks in your bedroom without the roof falling in?" But I don't really speak to them about it because the first time I did they thought I was sad. But one of my friends also keeps fish and I usually ask him stuff if I need to know anything, but we do chat a bit about our new fish and our tanks. But when I tell my teacher she starts talking about her tanks and then of course my classmates get annoyed, oh well at the end of the day at least I've got my fish who I can turn to.

F. My friends. But I think they are only teasing

My boyfriend pretends to be indifferent to them, but he boughtme my first tank, and we are moving tomorrow, and is insistent I wait for him to help me catch/bag/move them etc, and he's getting a heat pack to help (we are only moving 15 mins away!!!!). I think perhaps he spends more time watching them after I have gone to bed than he admits!!

I thought it would just be cool to see what everyone thought but after reading all the posts.
I think we all would get more grief if we weren't so good at hiding our addiction!!!!! We sound like wolves waiting to pounce on the first person that "gets us" lololol
At least we all have TFF which is a lot like a support group, well at least one in reverse. Since you all make me want to spend more time and $$$ on my tanks. You guys rock
