Jude and I went up to visit her friend Leigh up in Tegnabruick, here are some snaps we took.

Its a great place, her friend is the local post women up there and its a proper 'postman pat' type village.

The actor Robert Carlisle had a house there, there are lots of retired footballs live there but mostly its very rich people who have holiday homes (or holiday mansions) there, like the German billionaire who has a house which can only be described as a palace, they sail in on their huge yacht to spend two weeks of each year in it......Id love to see the size of the hoose they live in for the other 50 weeks of the year!...

....lucky b@stards!

Ben Lomond.....not a great picture as it was taken from a car window on the way up...

This is the island of Arron in the distance, we live just over the otherside of it...

And finally.....Mirtha the dalmation entertains us all with her snoop dogg impression.

What a beautiful area, it's a postcards dream.

Postwoman leigh
postwoman Leigh amd her black and white dog

- hmmm, doesn't have quite the same ring to it.

Lovely pictures. We have been to the Highlands many times over the years on holiday. Lovely scenery, even though it rained on quite a few of our holidays. The air is so fresh. We live in the Midlands and in the summer the air gets really stale. My husband goes up there once a year at least to do wildlife photography. :)

Its a great place but its a bit of a 'Darwinian rewind button' of a place.......there are rich toffs who stay there in the summer and the pig farmers who live there all year round.

I was only there over night and the locals had erected a wickerman in Leighs back garden! :D

Ok its Spelt Tighnabruich which I believe means house on the brae/hill

And theres no pig farmers but yes the locals ideas of socialising and men and women and their roles in the house are rather backward! :/

But it is gorgeous I have been going up to visit Leigh for about the past 4 yrs an just driving up I can feel the stress leaving my shoulders and I just feel good! Its in Argyll for anyone who wants to go see the area up past Loch Long and Loch Fyne. It is such a beautiful drive too! just beware of crazed locals and posties!

Glad I fianlly got Mick up there! Its good for your soul!

:D

Looks good, really nice place! :)

Wouldn't mind a break up somewhere in the Highlands in the summer for a week in a cottage. Take Lynz and Harley. :fun: :D
