A place 4 my questions & ponderings as I build a 34 Gallons (127L) tank

Oh no no no no no. I'm still dealing with 12 platy fry taking over my 58L though with 6 cories & 10 Cherry Barbs my 127L might have some room

Wellity wellity wellity... These bronze cories are great fun! Went in this morning. And they're active, exploring, very fun to watch. I've 6. No idea of gender. Hard to get a good photo cause they're very active.

Also brown algae on the glass. But I reckon partly too much light & high nitrate in tap water (20ppm). I need to find more frogbit & maybe keep light on 50% dimmer.

Anyway I love the Cories cherry barbs are very easy going. Really like loving this tank - just wish stock was easier to find.

Oh I love them instantly. My husband is really liking this tank too - he wasn't mad on the small tank because there was fighting from start & fish looking harassed & then dying & then parasites but this is a really calm tank. I have one spray bar creating a waterfall noise & ripple & it's really relaxing. The other turbo spray acts as an air stone so hopefully good oxygen & flow for the Cories.

Makes such a difference planning a tank & stock. These two (cherry barb & bronze cory) are really lovely to watch

Argh my camera can't shift focus so I can get a good full shot of the tank. My Cories are too active right now for a good shot. But you can see the plants are doing well with plenty of new growth. The Cryptocoryne plants are thriving after initial melt.

10 White Cloud Mountain Minnows
10 Cherry Barb
6 Bronze Cory

I'm thinking if adding

1 Albino Bristlenose Pleco
And more Bronze Cory

Any advice on amount of Bronze Cory I can add?

4? 6?

I don't think I'll add any more small fish groupings so the stock will finished with 1 Albino Bristlenose Pleco & some more cories.

Further restrictions from midnight Wednesday here. So I think I'm gonna head to pet store tomorrow and use some gift cards I have. Store has no floating plants but I might get some plants for my small tank, some Vallisneria Giant & moss balls for this tank.

@NCaquatics - I've 34G tank that's 36" L x 18" H x 12" W. 10 WCMM, 10 Cherry Barb & 6 Bronze Cory. I do want to add one Albino Bristlenose Pleco. Do you think there's room for more Cories?

I think even with the BN, up to 12 cories would be just fine, provided you stay on top of water changes and have good filtration

I've got 2 Eheim Aquaball 130 in there so good filtration with food surface agitation & one set like an air stone effect. And I do 75% weekly changes (I could see a python on my Xmas list!).

My husband said "oh get more of the catfish you've only 2 and they're my favourite"... Eh there's 6 in the tank clearly doesn't zone out with that tank like I do.

Another 6 would be amazing. They are really nice moving about the whole tank so much. I'm totally smitten

Added Cryptocoryne undulata 'broad leaves' and sagittaria subulata.

And 6 Bronze Cory. So happy with stock in this tank. And the plants too. They're all doing great. I've ordered more Frogbit from private seller as I don't have enough surface coverage.

Yes and OMG they're amazing! I'd some gift vouchers & discovered the fish shop took them so guilt free Shopping I checked with NC regarding numbers. Gotta say they bring the tank alive! So beautiful the way the flutter & swim about. One Albino Bristlenose Pleco and then that'll be this tank stocked.

The little tank is still fry central.
