A place 4 my questions & ponderings as I build a 34 Gallons (127L) tank

Was a bit snap happy earlier

They really hang out around my tree a lot. The like the shade but also chase around it and nip the moss up top. They're exploring the tank much more now

Don't be surprised if they spawn in your moss. Their eggs are a clear red, and small.

Mine have a love for the denser plants.

Oh no please no... Not more babies my smaller tank is over run with Platy fry it's turning into a platy grow out tank I do love a little fry though

Thanks. Yeah they're active & eating & I think happy They're a very nice fish. Little chasing but no nipping. Peggy has really improved to!

Yes they went in Oct 1st and I tested daily because I'm paranoid. On October 6th the ammonia rose to 0.2. so I did big water change. Keeping an eye on it & won't add more fish yet.

My MTS snail died. Likely when the ammonia rose to 0.2 last week. Since water parameters have been good - 0 ammonia or Nitrite.

Cherry barbs are active & great to watch. Peggy has really recovered. Still darker in colouring than the others but much better.

Plants doing well. Though I could do with more frogbit - not enough floating plants none available locally & postage is more than the plant.

Wish postage wasn't so expensive, would be happy to send you a load of frogbit and maybe some MTS too otherwise

Ah thanks. I check local shops but no MTS or Frogbit. I think I'll get Frogbit when I order the Forktails. We were actually planning a trip to see the Plecos in the Aquarium and stop off at the fish shop that I order online from but... Can't leave our county now.

I think I found a private seller in dublin who can post MTS so might give that a try. For both tanks now Ive sand in both.

Gonna go pick up some Bronze Corydoras this week for my big tank. They're the only suitable to my hardness & ph. I think they'll work well with the Cherry Barbs

I've spent a lot of time planning this tank so I get nervous about getting the community right. But I reckon 6 bronze will have fun in the big space & do well with the Cherry barbs. I've one filter set with the air stone effect so should be well oxygenated tank. Plus plenty of plants

They will love it, and I'm sure you'll fall in love with them too! Hope yours spawn as well! Baby cories, so cute!
