I’ve noticed the last couple days, that my male yellow tails have been flashing blue on the top half of their bodies… I don’t seem to be able to capture that with the camera… but they seem to be getting prettier, since they started eating the water meal…

yes, and there is a group of King Tiger Plecos spawning in there as well... as Hams Beer ( or was it Coors??? ), said... it's the water...

I did put the Oto's in there, after this became an African tank... because I couldn't find something similar in African fish ( there are fish that fill that nitch, just nothing available here )... but the plecos had been there long before this became an African tank, & this is that hard to work on tank, & I can't get them out, without a pretty much complete disassembly... so they aren't bothering the Tetras with almost no interaction... I just left them be...

Yeah, I've had that happen with evolving tanks, too No algae eating sucker fish from Africa that are available in the hobby? I though everywhere had species like that. We even have a few in dry Wyoming.
