In most states, if you actually threaten someone at gunpoint, you can get up to five maybe ten years for that.

Yes, but in many states you can use deadly force on someone who is breaking into your home, or if you feel your life is in eminent danger. Just recently in my city, 2 men were convicted in the murder of an accomplice. The three men broke into someone's home and pistol whipped the homeowner. The owner wrestled the gun away, and shot at the men (even as they fled). One of the intruders died, and the homeowner was not charged, the coherts were. In Illinois, if you commit a crime and die in the process, your accomplices are responsible.

Why do we get called lunatics for carrying a gun for protecton, Or would someone perfer we just get robbed or raped or what. If you had a gun you wouldnt be haviing to worry about either one of them.

i like the guns, i personally wouldn't have any because with 2 kids in the house, and sooo many horror stories Always wanted to collect when i was younger though. I think calling all americans lunatics is abit out of line (i'm am in the UK) most of the people who misuse guns don't have a licence anyway.

Dont feel like that Angel lady, we all like different things and if we all liked the same things the world would be a very boring place. I'm not a lover of guns but i see no problem with responsible people collecting and/or shooting them as a hobby. Not everyone agrees with fishing as a sport but no matter what their oppinions i would never stop going fishing and if i ever took a camera with me i wouldnt hesitate to post up pictures of some of the better fish i catch.

nice looking guns...i don't mind it being posted here personally, although i was shocked at first when i saw it...
i used to love guns when i was younger...i had a glock 9 and a small jennings 9 mm..but my interest for them quickly faded when I was charged with illegal possesion of firearms..
and now that i'm a bit older, my opinions of guns have differed quite a bit...i'm not so much against it, and i believe responsible citizens should have the right to carry it if they choose to...but i do have issues with the laws concerning them, and the irresponsibilities people make regarding them...

It's more the point that it sounds as though its gotten out of hand in America, what ever happened to a fair fight.

I think guns in the street are crazy. But hey each to their own. but i dont want to be part of that. It's a violent world we live in and I would rather live in the hills if I could. It's not just America that is getting aout of hand. But anyway thats another topic for discussion and I cant be bothered with a debate.

I will agree, Guns shouldnt be out on the streets but they are and I think everyone should be able to defend thierselves. In the invent of a fair fight I am all in on that but I dont hardly know anyone who fights fair anymore...

Sounds like you have a nice collection Angel Lady. I prefer the Kalashnikovs myself, another 50+ year old design. I have a Saiga in 7.62x.39, the longer barrel gives it a little more range, bringing the maximum effective range a little closer to that of the ar's, with a heavier bullet. It looks like a hunting rifle with the 5 round mag, with the 30 rounders, you know what it's made to do.

I think America must have a fairly sad society if in order to be safe you have to carry around a hand-gun...? Surely the better thing to do is to get the police on the streets removing guns from those who are illegaly holding them. After this has been accomplished in as best way as possible then you don't need guns at all, and it can be outlawed.

I know its in the constitution, and I know its a part of tradition like many things we have here in England, but it's a part of American culture that I simply don't understand, and is virtually endorsed by rap stars.

This was not aimed at anyone, particularly Angel Lady, as I understand the predicament, but i do almost feel sorry that our American cousins are so afraid of their own neighbourhood that they have to carry lethal weapons.

I don't carry lethal weapons around. Mine are/were more for sport...target shooting at a paper target. I do believe in my right to have them. The vast majority of Americans are not carrying guns around Ben, LOL. And film stars and rappers are not a good representative of American culture.
