Excuse me, but what does sou vide mean?Cherry shrimp - I can't help but think I'm sou vide some in my 5 gal...Maybe I'll try again now I that I've lowered my temp to 76....
sous vide is a fancy way of slow cooking food in a water bath....I've only done it once since I got a sous vide unit for my B-Day...;-)...hey maybe I can the unit in a fish ER tank LOL...Excuse me, but what does sou vide mean?
ooh, treading dangerous waters there @WhistlingBadgerYou might be a fish nerd if you deny getting fish your spouse wants because they don't fit your biotope.
Sounds very technical...you might be a fish nerd if you are content staring at your cloudy 20gallon under construction with excitement about all the big plans you have for putting the rock there just so, and the piece of driftwood in that corner, and the plant here, and and and.....
Or when one "borrows" from the college 529 for that custom 700 gal tank and all the additional house remodeling to accomodate...LOLHow about:
You might be a fish nerd if you deny getting fish your spouse wants because they don't fit your biotope.
OR
You might be a fish nerd if you're seriously considering spending extra $$ to custom-build a tank because the common sizes aren't exactly what your critters need.
I get that! I have had a zebra danio with me for over 3 years. Survived 1 move across the USA and used to live in a 1.5g tank. I really need to get her more friends though...You know your a fish nerd when you have one fish that survives for years from the very first tank you setup and against all odds is still with you, when the others where lost. So you mother it like a child making sure everyday it is still there.... that's my pepper cory and he is still here after five years a lone survivor form all the goof ups I have done in the learning process of fish keeping.
Well that's better than threatening your daughter's new boyfriend if newbie BF does her wrong.... BTW thank you for my morning laugh....You're a fish nerd when, on meeting your son's new girlfriend for the first time, you drag her off to see your fish within minutes of her setting foot in the house.
