Thanks for the heads up on the gravel definatly a good idea and it sets it off better I think.EllieJellyEllie said:^^^^ That is a great idea. And glad you went with the gravel, should stay in place much better than the sand.
I love this. Any idea on what stocking will be?
After the cycle, of course
You certainly can make a suggestion and one I have taken on board I have added some more to the front to make it wider and started to bend it round originally I had a bend it it but as I added the stones I kind of lost it.Rak9378 said:Looks great so far!! If I could make a suggestion...perhaps you could "bend" the river bed as you get towards the back of the tank. Maybe be bend it so that it curves left (when facing the tank) behind the two large rocks. I think this would give it a more natural look. If you prefer to keep the straight line then maybe you can make it wider in the front and more narrow it gets to the back...this would give the perception of depth. Just a few thoughts anyway....it does look great as is! I'm a follower!
Happy to help!! The tank looks great! I love the rock placement. Are you going to be using any ferts with your CO2?Gazzaeng said:The pictures are not very clear crap camera and the water is a bit dirty. But all in all it has stayed together .
Since these pics I have widened the stones at the front and put a bend in at the back to help give it some depth ( thanks rak9378 )
I have also set up a c02 system to help with growth
I am by no means an expert so hopefully someone else will chime in. But basically there are what's called macro nutrients and micro nutrients. There are three major macro nutrients: Nitrogen (N), Phosphorous (P), and Potassium (K). There are other macro nutrients you can add but these are the primary three. Micro nutrients include things like Iron, Boron, Manganese, Plantex, Miller Microplex. Both macro and micro ferts can be bought dry whereby you prepare the doses yourself or they can be bought in liquid form. The liquid stuff is readily available at your LFS and is made by companies like Seachem (for example Flourish is a popular product for micro nutrients). Great products....but can get pricey. The dry ferts can be bought online (I couldn't find at my LFS) and are literally in a powder form. Way cheaper than the bottled stuff.Gazzaeng said:Yes I will be at the moment I'm using the jbl ferts that I got with the c02 as I'm not sure what ones are best at the moment if you can help at all on that?
