9 pieces of glass

Hi
I have been given 9 pieces of 6mm smoked glass and was wondering if
I should turn them into a tank or two.

I have 7 pieces of 45.5x50cm and 2 pieces of 45.5x71cm
I'm toying with the idea of buying a clear piece of glass for the front(s) and using the smoked bits for sides and bottoms. (1 cube tank and 1 Rectangle tank)
Now the problems are this.
all pieces have drilled holes in them (see pic) the big hole is no problem as I can use std tank adapters that sump tanks etc use, it is the very small holes in one corner that maybe a problem.
I feel they are small enough, just to fill with silicon, but what are your opinions?

Well, yeah, go for it.

What else could you use it for anyway? Might as well have a go.

Are the small holes big enough to run an airline in (with Silicon to seal it)...?



Alternatively.....you could try to seal with silicon.....but tbh I would seal a small piece of glass over the hole (inside) with silicon.

Definitely don't just seal it with silicon. Put another piece of glass on top of it if possible. Silicon alone will not hold it for long if at all.

cut the glass just below the holes

i agree with blacky, just cut it below the holes... you might have a smaller tank but it will be much more leak proof
