9 Gallon Reef Tank?

Having seen jennybugs Fluval Edge I'm highly tempted do buy one, when I'm in a better financial state. It pretty much hides everything I want to hide, and for the lighting I could possibly ask her about the LED lighting she's got :)

Is there by any chance of writing up a list of what I'll need and the price.

Your best bet, if you want something like that, is to look on eBay. There are always tanks for sale on there and you might be able to get a complete setup with all the goodies, for a fraction of the retail price.

LED lighting isn't cheap. Even a self build (which I'm planning on doing soonish) will run you well over £100. The LED's are about £6 - £8 a pop.

Thanks for the heads up :)

I will most likely not buy until I have a nice lump of money, I'd be looking at possibly £300, is that too little, or too much?

15 gallons would possibly be the most I can fit in my room, and I preferably want a square/cube tank.

For £300 you should be able to get a fair sized setup, complete with live rock and fish etc. Ebay will be the place to get it. Although it is nice having all brand new stuff, so long as the 2nd hand one is in good condition, with no scratches on the glass or leaks etc, then its fine. Even second hand equipment is usually ok. Pumps often only require new impellers to get them back to perfect working order. The same with protein skimmers. I got a £230 skimmer for £70 + about £15-£20 for the new impeller. Good as new.

if you want a 15 gallon with everything then a tl450 is a pretty good option it has everything

skimmmer
uv
filter
space for heater in the back compartment

so its a little nano

also has t5s in the hood

also only 130 pounds new with stand or like 60-90 second hand again with stand

others dislike them but its what i started with and loved it i now own a 100 gallon reef

and for small nanos it is a very cheap yet good way to go

theres one i dont think it will get many bids either

Yeah they are nice tanks, everything I need and it's hidden away.

Just have to see if I can get a job sometime soon.

Thanks for all the replies.
