Hi all,
I recently acquired a 75 litre (20 gallon, I believe) aquarium and have stocked it with 4 female Rosy Barbs (recommended by my local pet store since he advised they are a hardy species). They've been in there for almost two months now. I'm currently looking at getting another shoal of semi-aggressive species - what would you think would be compatible with my fish, providing a nice contrast to my tank, and how many? I'm quite keen on some Tiger Barbs, but their fin-nipping tendencies worry me a little.
Also, please forgive me as this is a totally noob question, but how many fish can my tank hold appropriately. I realise the "one inch per gallon" sentiment, but please advise if there's an exception to every rule. I think in the long run, a community tank holding at least 3 species of fish would be nice, but I think it might be sensible to stick with tow only? Nevertheless, I hope to progress to a larger tank (to replace my current tank in my living room) when I'm more experienced, transferring my current tank to my study.
Anyway, appreciate your time and I look forward to your responses
