Lovely looking tank :)

What type of plec is that lovely golden looking one? And also, whats the plant in the back ground that looks sort of like a long frill? Almost looks seaweed like :)

Really nice tank, fish and plants.
Very natural, I like it a lot. They're very lucky fish.

all the moss was sold to me as java moss, not 100% sure if it is java moss though. I have quite a few large bunches of those. The swirly plant is an upono something ma bobby.... I bought it as a bulb and it turns out to be the fastest meanest plant in my tank, its heavy big leaves in the current snapped lots of my hygros to death and since it grew so heavily it blocked the light to lots of my vals and killed them. I trim that plant the most since it doesnt want to stop growing. The water lettuce is pretty fast growing as well (no surprise there). I split the crypts a few times, all successful, the green hygro i have trimmed many times and i got quite a few of them in there, i used to have java fern which got so much hair algae that i threw it away.. I got some amazon swords that have never really took off, i dont even think it has grown at all.... well at least its not dying.... have 1 surviving jungle val left, used to have lots of corkscrew, before my upono thingy killed it all. I have a fast big growing onion plant, and i think thats it with the plants.... 108 watts of T5 linear lighting, no CO2, i used to use EI dosing but i stopped when i got lots of green water. I just put those cardinals in yesterday so maybe thats why they are schooled so well....

2 pearl gouramis that didnt want to come out for a picture, they used to love the top of the tank until i took out a whole bunch of water lettuce, now they hide nearer the bottom, they are really shy but love to bite the cories. 6 cories, i feel bad for them since the gouramis and kribensis hate them, the cories have all these ripped and torn fins from them. 2 kribensis, mated pair but havent mated in my tank. 9 cardinals, plan on getting another 9 cardinals or neons, i bought 6 cherry barbs, 2 died, but i had 2 surviving babies. Unfortunately one died MIA and now i only have one surviving baby, its gotten pretty big now, almost the size of the cardinals, its in one of those pictures. As someone mentioned a bristlenose pleco, very small, about an inch, i got it to help with my algae, didnt do anything with the algae though.... i dont even know what it eats but its pretty fat and healthy. It likes cucumbers i think.... I used to dose flourish excel, i got lazy and i am glad i did since i found out it didnt do anything to help the plants.... Ive had quite a few algae problems in the tank, first it was green hair algae and cyanobacteria, the cyano left by itself without me needing to do anything thank god, the green hair algae was terrible until i did a big water change and added lots of flourish excel, it disappeared within a few days, then i had a green spot algae problem (and i still do...) which isnt that bad, if anything the green spots look nice on some of the leaves. THe most recent is a green water problem which i bought a UVS to get rid of. As you can see i have had my fair share of algae.....

2 visi therm heaters, 1 rena XP3 filter, 1 9 watt UVS, 2 54 watt T5 bulbs, uhh i think thats it equipment wise.... Hope you liked my tank :)

If you, or anyone else, could get the full name of the "upono something ma bobby" it would be great. I would like to try and find some myself.

Aponogeton ulvacus, the first part, Aponogeton, is right, the second part im not so sure, im pretty sure it starts with a U though....

EDIT: Aponogeton ulvaceus, there you go.

Thanks a lot Musho, i'm on the hunt for some now!

Yes, very nice layout, nice pictures,

did you post the size of tank? looks quite tall, you could get some Onion Plants round the back and bulk it up a bit, but thats just my own personal taste,

nice!

I love your moss, i want it!!!

EDIT: you already have x1 Onion Plant, do you know they need to be kept in groups as they like to shoal? LOL, ha ha, no i would seriously get more, i would put 3 or 4, at the back on the right hand side of tank, space apart a bit,

but again, its all personal opinion!

hmm, i kinda want my vals to take over the back, i have one surviving val so i will need to take really good care of it lol, hopefully it grows and reproduces and starts to cover the back.

Its regular 75 gallon tank dimensions.
