6 gallon for 2 DP??

I'm hoping that CFC just bans him altogether....theres no want/need for a member like this....those previous posts which CFC closed are just plain stupid...I feel sorry if there really are people who keep tanks that...but im pretty sure its just BS as no one is that cruel/stupid!

Godric, just wondering, can you put ottos in with GSPs, cause I want some kind of algae eater in my tank with my two and I've just found out you can't put plecs in with them because they won't tolerate salt. :(

Oh, and by the way, if I were you I'd go for both the GSP idea and the DP idea. :D

P.S I love your piccie of your GSP, got anymore, did you take it, cause if you did, your a pretty good photographer, mine won't keep still for long enough!!!! :grr:

You have to clean the algea on a GSP tank, nothing can really go with it.

Also, back to my question, as far as a 6 gallon goes, can I do 2 DP, 2-3 ottos and one bumble bee goby?

Why even bother with the goby? Just go with 2 DPs and 3 otos, and you've got more than enough to look at. The goby would be too much, or it would take the space of one oto, which would make the other two less than happy.

That's just what I think, but I wouldn't bother with a goby.

2 dps and the three otos in the 5 gal, would be your max. if really want the gobies, and don't actaully have algae problems, get three of them instead of the otos. i kept two dps and 2 gobies happily in my 5 gal. my only problem was falling for puffers and wanting more and having to upgrade toa larger tank

Ottos are plecs, they're a member of the loricariidae family just like the commons, the gibbies, zebras, royals et al

Therefore putting them in a brackish setting will shorten their lifespan considerably.

it's a 6 gallon, so would 2 DP 3 ottos and one goby do fine?

ooooh get a bumble bee goby! they are so cute with their grumpy little faces.

I have 2 with my fig 8's and they are pretty active, and sucker onto the walls so you can always see them around. They didnt used to bother getting all excited at feeding time but now they know the greedy little puffers will have all their dinner if they arent quick they are straight in there claiming their share :D

would one be lonely on its own? mine dont really soialise with each other so probably not, just a thought :)

I heard that Dwarf Puffers prefer to live in groups, I don't know but thats what I've heard, I've also heard that they can be kept in groups of two and they will be fine.

I don't like bumble-bee gobies, they're cool, but I think they wiped out my tank! :-(

Had to say bye, bye to some puffers bcause of them! :byebye:

Do ottos really like to school? I had one and he was happy and healthy for about 8 months, and then the other day I heard about the schooling, so I got three more; Now they all just take their own tank wall, never close together though. Do other people ottos school?

Otos love to school and are much more active in larger numbers. Mine all spen the day all bunched up in the same corner of the tank and then at night they swim all over the place.

OK, two pages later, several hyjacks, and still no one has answered my question.

CAN I HAVE 2 DP's, 2 OTTOS, and a bumblebee GOBY IN THERE?!?!?

:grr:
