40litre Nano Cube

Hi James, nice to see you coming over to the salty side :)

I'm not sure about Yarnton Nurseries but I know that World of Water, Bicester does both RO and readymix salt water. RO is £2.50 per 25ltrs and I think that salt water mix is £3.50 per 25 ltrs but I'm not sure on that one as I always buy RO.

They charge about £11.00 for the container but it comes filled with RO water, saltwater is likely to cost a little more. They refund £6.50 or thereabouts for any containers you don't need afterwards.

Yarnton may well operate a similar scheme and I know it's just around the corner from you.

If you get cured live rock then you will need to check your water stats as per freshwater and when this is ok then you can add cuc. I had some brilliant cured live rock from Maidenhead Aquatics in Hinksey and my tank was cycled in 2 days. It can take a couple of weeks or so though dependent on the quality of the rock/amount of die off etc.
Uncured rock will take substantially longer but it is cheaper.

Cheers

Thinking about it James

That 6' x 2' x 2' tank you have would make a REALLY nice reef :hey:

Cheers

I agree with ombomb....I just cannot support putting clowns in small tanks. Look at neon gobies or consider an invertebrate tank...shrimp, eg. You can hand feed them and they make little in the way of nitrates. SH
