Hey all,

I have a 34g RSM 130d that is a reef tank, I also have a 10g tank that I'm not really sure what I'm gonna do with but I have a MH over it and plan to possbily make it a reef/Q tank, not sure yet though.

A friend dumped another 40g tank on me and I have another sphare MH and I'm curious to what I should do with the tank. I don't know if I wanna breed anything, make it a designated Q tank, grow corals, or what so please fill me in on what I should do with the tank. Comments/thoughts/suggestions are all welcome. Please and thank you.

Coral propagation tank...

What's the halide strength & Kelvin rating?

Its a 14,000k 250 watt light H5 by hamilton technologies. I have a total of 3 of them. 1 is over the 10g. I fried the powersupply to another one ,but still have the light. and the 3rd one is still in the box. I also just realized my sister has an old 70g or 75g tank she took down a number of years back. I could use the 75g as the tank and the 40g as the sump. If I do use the 75g as a tank I might purchase another power supply for two MH's. and for a coral propgation tank would it need the standard sand/liverock setup or is it like a Q tank with a bare bottom. I've never setup a coral propgation tank.

But what I think i'm looking at is this. I'm moving in about 6 months or so. I have a 35g and a 10g setup. A sphare 40g and 75g collecting dust. When I move I think I will resetup the 35g reef, setup the 70g as a tank and use the 40g as its sump, and use the 10g as a barebottom Q tank with 1 or 2 pieces of LR in it to reduce stress of animals in the Q tank. With that what should I do?

Have a nano reef, then a 75g reef :shifty: Full on reef tank

Yup that seems to be whats going to happen. 10g q tank (barebottom), 34g RSM reef, and a 75g reef w/ 40g sump. Two MH 250w 14k bulbs over the 75g and possibly one over the sump, and then the t5 compacts for the 35g. If anyone else has any final suggestions and or comments they are more then welcome to put their input in.
