4.5 Gallon Pico Reef

Whoops, you're right there man, thanks. Always get them mixed since I've never owned either. That definitely is Divisia.

Thought I'd go ahead and mention. This tank is by far one of my favorites. It sits here on my desk so it's always within view. It looks wonderful at during the day and theres always a lot going on...but now with the addition of my sun coral and my xenia, theres a lot happening at night to. The xenia remains pulsing even through the night, and the sun coral comes out like crazy. I revert all previous statements about disliking sun corals. Theyre very rewarding when theyre doing well :)

Sorry chris I was to busy to check this site for a few days and missed the entire life span of the mantis! Im sorry to hear it didnt make it. It was beautiful tho! Hopefully the next one will be as colorful and live much longer. Keep at it.

The new one ships tomorrow evening :)

Sun coral is continuing to improve more and more, it really is becoming one of my favorites.

I thought astreas would be safe...good god. He even fragged my star polyps for me...I had to move some rocks to help him put his cave together and one passed by the opening of his little cave...he punched it and it broke in half...a sound came out of my mouth that I had never heard before as I quickly removed my hands from the water...he's STRONG...seriously, Im nervous about the integrity of the aquarium. Im really dissatisfied with the arrangement of the corals but it'll just have to do for now. Pics later on tonight.

*snicker* yeah, O. Scyllarus is definitely one of the stronger of the mantids. Good luck with him :). Did you put sacrificial acrylic along the inside bottom of the tank?

It looks a lot better in person. I'll get some pics of him when he's out and about tomorrow.
