30L/8G Nano Betta Home

Well I went into the LFS from hell to try see if I could get an exchange. They have pretty much redeemed themselves at this point, but I think it really depends if you get a good staff member or not. The replaced the wall adapter so the lights are back on! Yay! Also I was eyeing the snails and the lady said that I could have a couple for free if I wanted to make up for the light debacle. So I came home with two fat little mystery snails.

Fred is very unsure about the snails and has taken the "bury your head in a plant" approach.

Hey guys, not much to report. Tank is pretty much the same. Plants have taken off a little bit though.

I am still not sure what to do regarding tank mates. The snails did okay for the first few days but now they are being little brats. I'm not sure if they are dying or what so I've moved them to that little tank that you see in the first post of this thread because I am afraid of them dying and fouling up the water.

They keep filling themselves with air and floating around or laying in the bottom hanging out of their shells or sitting on the bottom completely in their shells. Weird little feckers.

That is pretty normal snail behavior. They will not always cruise about and like to travel up to the surface to float. Its a faster way to travel :)

Fred is a cute fella.

Thanks :)

Well the old snails are finally behaving. Did a big water change so maybe something about the water was bothering them. I have put a leaf of spinach on the bottom and I am waiting to see if they will eat it.

LOL someone must really be feeling better as he has taken it upon himself to scale a plant.
