3 Day Fishless Cycle?!

If you are using established media I would just test the water without any additive - depending on how much of the media is mature, your tank might be cycled immediately.

Does this just quickstart the cycle? Are you still adding this to your tank when you add ammonia? I was just wondering myself cause I'll be setting up my tank soon and going to be using established media and want the quickest cycle I can

IT seems to have done. But remember if you're planning to use this you'll need ammonia as this is what will be feeding the bacteria in the bottle. If youre going to be using mature media, you'll also need to feed it with ammonia or with fish.

Its from my mom's filter ( Aquaclear 70 ) and I plan on using two 110's so my sponges will be a little larger then hers. Should I take part of her sponge and add it in both of my filters, or just put the largest chunk in one of the filters? I wont be able to test for 2-3 weeks, I still need to build a stand for my tank before I start filling it with water

My cycle is nearing the end.. nitrite is dropping and 3 ppm of ammonia is being processed in 14 hours. Very surprised 'live bacteria' has worked! :good:   :hyper:

I picked up a bottle of the stuff at my LFS, Hoping that used media, Zyme+, and Prime will give me a fast cycle in the big tank. I've been adding it to my current tank but my Nitrites are still registering 4-5 for a few days now :/

Mine registered the same amount (4/5 ppm like yours), but the nitrates were steadily increasing so I knew the nitrite to nitrate bacteria existed. But just today the nitrite has started to drop! Just have to think at least we're not having to wait like 5 or 6 weeks like many of the people on here, we're lucky :good:

I don't think your filter question got answered. If you think the used media is big enough, you could split it into each filter in order to give each one a good jump start.
