Tank is pretty much the same as when I left!

I am getting some red algae however... might have to plop the turbo snail on that.

Why are you changing the light?
If the corals are fine with the current light, leave it for a while.

The red algae is blue green algae (Cyanobacter bacteria) just in a red and green form. Suck it out with a syphon hose and cut back on the dry food.

I’m afraid it won’t be powerful enough for the anemone, once I get it. Also, I don’t want to be held back in getting any type of coral, because my lighting is to weak.

The PAR is also low.

Yes, absolutely! You should setup a nano saltwater tank, so you can get one of these.

I'd really love to, but it all sounds so expensive!! If I'm able to get a tank for the living room or something I'd probably argue my case for getting a SW tank. At some point I'd like to try out every kind of tank you can have, just so I can see what I like best lol.

Honestly, I think I like SW more than freshwater... ?

Lol, I have been trying to convince my mom to get a saltwater tank. I keep telling her "all you need is a 10 gallon saltwater tank and you can keep dwarf seahorses" but after my dad told her that our LFS has a stingray, she says she doesnt think she would be satisfied

If you decide to keep seahorses, make sure you get captive bred. Seahorses collected from the wild are incredibly hard to keep in captivity.

Captive bred seahorses are actually quite easy. My LFS has several in their frag tank - it’s really fun to watch them change colors, as they move from coral to coral.

OOOOOOOO. My mom just loves seahorses. We visited an aquarium when we were on vacation down in Florida once, and they had some seahorses that had been born just that morning, it was really cool. I will have to try harder to talk my mom into a saltwater tank

Common Seahorses do need a minimum tank size of 30 gallons, so keep that in mind.

Ah ok. I have been researching the dwarf seahorses, which do well in 10!
