29G African Cichlid Tank

Hey guys! im currently setting up a 29g Af. cichlid tank, and i was wondering if you could help me get ideas for the caves and shelter. i have the cichlid sand but i dont know if i wanna add lava rock or a different stone of some kind. if you have any suggestions, please help! im open to anything! thanks

i used granite rock. it can be found in abundance along side roads in oklahoma.

29g is not really adequate for African Cichlids. What species do you have in mind?
You could have some Shellies. Or maybe some of the smaller Tangs But I wouldn't put in any Malawis.

What are your water parameters?
The substate and rocks you use could help increase the hardness and ph if needed.

i use lime stone in mine helps buffer the water a bit.
