Yes, I bought it that way, they were custom made salt water tanks at my lfs, but since they're moving they're selling all of their old tanks. They have a bunch of two footers cut like that too. I'm hoping he'll cut me a deal on some.

silver~ I bought these from bettatalk a while back, they're about 4",very young. I suppose you could find some on Aquabid, but they may be half giants. You could always wait until I get a successful spawn out of these two :hey:

Julie~Thanks! I was excited about you seeing it!!! It's the most perfect giant spawning tank evah! I couldn't dream of anything more appropriate for them! :hyper:

Hmmm... I might just have to steal some fry from you in a few months.

The tank looks great! I've never seen one like that before. I guess it's a custom job?!

By the way, I have shelving nearly identical to yours, and the instructions said to not put heavy weight on the top shelf. Mine is four shelves tall, though.

Thanks! Glad you like it :) This came as a 6 tier and it also said to avoid putting the heaviest items on top if using it as a 6, that way it would be too top heavy, that's why I broke it down into 3's

The owner of my lfs has one of these, as a 6 shelfer, with a 75 gallon on top  He uses it as a sump for his 1,000 gallon saltwater in-wall tank, it's parked neatly around the corner and he has reassured me that I have no worries ;)

Hi wuv :)

What a great set up you have there!

But I think you made a mistake. You have the bottom half of the tank and everyone knows that bettas need the top part. Better ship it to me right away so my cory cats can live there. :shifty:

Oh well, can't say I didn't try!  :D

I love the shelving too; its got lots of class.

Thans,Inchy! It would be great for cories, too :) I'm thinking if moving my L200's from their 29 and into a tank this size

I just peeked in on them and they're spawning as I type  I saw the female picking up eggs and the male frantically blowing bubbles

Hi wuv :)

Ahhhh........ How sweet!

They'll be beautiful fry, just like their parents.

whoo hooo!!! pictures!!! PICTURES!! lol...im glad the female could help out and not just sit and watch the male fail misribly.

heee hee, thanks! I'm dying to snap a pic, I only peeked in once thru the bottom and of course....I stared until the male shooed me away :*)

Edit~ removed female minutes after this post, entire spawn time:less than 18 hours

Still waiting, 24 hours later. These could be 36 hour hatchers or...the worst. :dunno:

Goodness sakes, look at those bubbles!! Beeeeeg, just like pappa. :p

*crosses fingers* C'mon babies, hatch, hatch!!! Who knows, perhaps they just take a bit longer, as their genes are different.

Nothing so far :/ I can't even find any eggs though, he has his nest scattered, lining the entire back wall and the sides so that about 6 feet of area (sides included) .He's really cool with me looking in at him, although he doesn't even notice me most of the time ;)

Yeah, the bubbles are huge! The entire surface ripples when one pops

I'm so corny, I made Tuesday leave the "after lesson playtime" at the Y after her swim lesson, I was dying to get home and check on him!!!

 You're hilarious. I'm gonna be just like that when my falx is about ready to release his kiddos...

Talk about a huge nest!! Wow... I'm impressed. With all that surface area, it's no wonder you can't find eggs. There might not be that many too, since it is their first time. :dunno:

Hard to say because I didn't watch, I only peeked in when eggs were falling. When I put the female back in her tank she poured eggs out all over the place  But he was chasing her to the other end of the tank,so I guess he had as many as he could handle before she was finished. Typical
