So far 2 of 3 of my momma mollies died within 36 hrs after birth. I have my water temp set to 79deg F to help with cycling. I was told that was good but wonder now. It gets very cold in my house in the winter at night as we use propane and wood for heat. Propane is over $2 a gal now so we don't use it much. Lot's of blankets work well..... Back to what i need to know. The water temp in my tank is about 76 in the morning and goes as high as 80 in the afternoon. Is this stressing my fish making the mommas unable to recoup after giving birth. Summer will be very hard to as we have no air conditioning and it gets well over 85 in the house.

Thanks in advance.

I am sorry to hear about your mollies RIP poor mommas I was told that birth was very stressful on the mother mine had close to 30 fry she ate a few of them before I could get them away from her I have 2 females they both give birth within days I got the boy molly and he went to work right away but both of my mollys are doing fine I dont know why yours died I have close to 50 fry and I havent lost any of them yet.it is going on 3 weeks now the fry are close to a inch long and I dont have any ideal what I am going to do with them I guess buy me a big tank and seperate the boys from the girls. Do you have any more females that is going to have fry soon if so I started giving my mollies blood worms about 2 weeks before she had her babies and I fed them to her 3 time a day in small amounts.I had her ready for the babies that could have the something to do with it
