Yea i cant think of much else i can do when all tank stats are fine and everything in the tank is looking good and all fish are eating well. i guess its another 1 of those things we just wont find the answer 2.

As for the salt mix being contaminated i cant see it being that as ive been using this salt since the 8th december last year (good job i wrote on the lid when i started using it) And the lid is very air tight.

You've been using this batch of salt since december 8th and your first fish deaths were on december 10th. I would be inclined to get some new salt and ditch the batch you currently have just incase.

i can see why u think that but thats just a coinsidence that the dates are so close.....it was definatly lack of water movement that killed the first lot of stuff............plus i use the same salt in my other 5 gallon marine tank and had no probs with that at all.
