If I were to buy 2 male and 4 female guppies for a 10 gal tank how many would there be and what should I do with the fry if it gets overcrowded?

How many of what would there be? I'm not a guppy expert but if they do breed succesfully and assuming more than 1 or 2 fry reach maturity you will be overcrowded so I would suggest having extra tanks ready to go or homes lined up for them.

Or feed them to any larger fish you have. There's always someone willing to take a few extra fry off you hands for feeders or whatever...

You can most of the time give them to your LPS. I just don't understand why people would feed fancy guppy fry to their bigger fish. But then again it's none of my business :p

philipwaldram just said guppies. it doesn't mean just fancy guppies. they could be feeder guppies. or highly inbred guppies.

i sell my guppys to the local pet shop for a reasonable ammount. i sell all of my guppys and then buy new ones to stop interbreading- its a good bussiness

That's a really good idea. I have alot of guppies 'cos they bred out of control. Most of them are healthy but you do get the odd few that seem like they have something genetically wrong with them. :p

How much do u normally get for your guppys? do they give it to u in store credit or cash? j/wing cause i might give some platies to my LFS
