hi seen a 2 ft tank for sale
just wondering what fish can i put in it a part from a terca ect i want something bigger

Gonna need a little more info here!

Its 2ft, but whats the volume (or other dims)?
What kind of set up are you after - will it be a species tank, a community tank?
Will it be planted?

You could quite easily keep choose your inhabitants from a long list.

Perhaps suggest what you have your eye on, and people will be able to offer advice.

You already have a 2ft tank with a plec and other fish in don't you? So why would you want another 2ft tank when you know that you have been extremely limited to your choices?

wots the biggest fish i can fit in there

Not a very big one! Oh and just another question what happened to that 7ft tank you said you were buying on the post in the buy and sell section when you wanted to re-home someone's fish?

If you are honest with people then they will respect you and be as helpful as they can!

A 2 ft tank is probably going to be either 15 US gallon or 19 gals (not allowing for deplacement). Not a big tank. We are still talking small fish: corys, guppies, tetras, platys- that sort of thing.

em, it's quite simple really. You want a big fish = You need a big tank.
There is no getting around that.

The biggest fish you could fit would be about 4inchs, but there are so many factors to take into condsideration like activity levels, social requirements and enviromental demands that you cannot just say "yep, any old 4inch fish will go in there" as some will be too active for the tank or not suitable for it due to other reasons.
But as bloozoo mentioned quite simply, if you want big fish you need a big tank.

The biggest would be something like a banjo cat, gets to 6'' or so, or a chaca chaca on its own, which gets to about the same. Neither of these move much, although the chaca will only eat live fish (AFAIK) which is a problem. With the banjo, you need a sand bottom as they bury themsleves.
