15 Gallon (54L) Planted Tank

Instead of the American Val Red Tiger Stripe I am going to use American Val Natans

Red Devil Cichlid will be leaving either saturday or sunday and I will be odering plants either saturday or sunday. I may get sand this weekend or next, and I dont have as many plants. The finalized list has the following plants-
 
Aponogeton Crispus
Jungle Val
Pygmy Chain Sword Broad
Pygmy Chain Sword Narrow
American Val Natans
Sag Subulata Narrow
 
And I will be also ordering Osmocote+ 5 pack for fertilizer as most of these plants like a nutrient rich substrate which I cannot afford so I thought root tabs would help.

Oh, and guess what, plant list changed again!
 
American Vals Natans and Jungle Vals for backround, and Dwarf Chain Sword Broad for foreground. I really like this list though, so I will probably stick with it

Im not sure if it will stay the same, so I wont post it. I also got sand, and will start to clean it when I order plants as the hose water here is FROZEN.

Well, the red devil is leaving tomorrow, and the betta is going into the tank. My plant list is now permenant, and bamaplants has them on hold until I can buy them on Wenesday! So my final plant list is- Water Wisteria, Green Temple, 5 dwarf sag, and broadleaf pygmy chainsword.

I decided once this tank is finished, I am asking for a nano 5g tank for some fish. Want to have some dwarf puffers in there. But, I will post pictures of the betta in the tank soon! Phoenix is loving his tank and I cant wait to finish it off. Should be scaping it this weekend and then I will get a mystery snail, and then 6 salt and pepper cories, and then 2 more when the filter can take that bioload. But, before that I will be added a few peices of 3 inch long pvc pipe sections in the back and between the plants for them.
 
 
Phoenix is kind of aggressive so before I get the cories I will ask Animal Jungle if I can return them in a week if I decide he is too aggresive.

Before adding the cories, you will want to mix up the decor, move things around a bit (which you are already planning to do) and then add the cories BEFORE you add Phoenix back to the tank.  This will cause him to have less of a claim on the tank as 'his territory' and he's more likely to be more magnanimous towards his new tank mates.

Under some sad circumstances I had to change the plant list. Jungle bals backround, dwarf sag and pygmy chainsword for foreground. Good news though is that i will be getting EIGHTEEN oscomote capsules!!!! Thats sooooo many! But, if they stop stocking them now I have alot, or if I get the 5g nano I want I have extras. Im so excited! Bamaplants has been soo awesome and I really enjoyed them. I will hopefully get them this weekend or during the week, and if I get them during the week there will be cups in the tank as I can quickly plant them. I have a cup in my tank now with a plant in it

Will be washing the sand tomorrow, and adding it saturday. So excited! I ordered more plants, and I will definitely plant them when they get here.  Im so excited!

I am thinking of adding sand to my tank too.. for the good of my cories.. how or what method that you are putting in the sand? with all that water in there.. hope not just dumping them all in though! Lol

Im rinsing several times, taking all the water, fish, gravel, and decor out, taking the gravel out but leaving all the brown yuck, and putting thw sand in, filling with water slowly, and since I will.be going plnted only my centerpeice is going in.
 
 
How do you attach java moss to something? I want to put some on my center peice.
