Sorry this didn't work out :( but sounds like you've got new plans for the tank now anyway so here's hoping the new layout works better :)

Nanos are bloody hard! I have come to that conclusion. I'm rescaping mine too.

Yours looks very nice, however.

Dam straight! I spent 3hrs redoing mine last nite. The trouble is that is only takes a small change to push the whole thing out of balance, biggger tanks have a far bigger margin for error.

PS - update pics to follow, dont worry ;)

Not worried, Sam. Off to find 1000lbs of anacharis and cabomba! Sorry for the hijack, FKNM! But we feel your pain.

aRRR, its a shame the original didn't work out i liked it, I'm into natural tanks but that one was almost spiritual ( in a good chilled out calming way) you could do it again with more suitable plants or try ADA aqua soil, aqua-soil claims to soften water by neutralizing calcareous thingy-ma-bobbs

My nano or shall we say pico 8lts 2G cube, is a real challenge, getting all the right levels of fertilizer and Co2 is a constant thought, the most important thing that help me keep my cube looking fresh and vibrant is water changes every 3 days, 2 if i can be botherd.

I tell myself if i can master the nano i can master the bigger tanks.

Keep at it, when you get it right its a real pleasure.

Graeme.

Looking good FKNM :) what are your plans for the centre foreground? Any red species going in? Anything tall going in? Perhaps to cover the filter?

I have abandoned the anubias only idea, think they were getting to much light and were suffering badly from green spot and staghorn so have removed all but the two smaller ones at the bottom, got some weeping moss to cover the log now :)

hey fknm, i havent been to this planted section in awhile. h0w do yoU like the betta? i really liked the bUdda, why did you take it out? i need some help with my planted tank. im going to have to save it before i kill all the plants, ill make a post soon maybe yoU can help.

btw i love the bettas colors, i have all kinds of expensive bettas and my favorite one is the veiltail like yours. they got playfUll personalitys unlike some fIsh.

well anyways good lUck with the anubus idea, it coUld look cool. ==

Thats mad! I love it! Very relaxing! Looks like your looking into a garden! Id get a black background for it though, that way it would hide the filter/cords! Awsome.

I like it very much. My anubias look so cute. I thought they'd look bigger in your tank, but nope, they still look tiny. Great look for a nano. Can't wait to setup my nano again. But I'm waiting for a giant betta.

Great looking nano.

Very original scheme - I usually dont like statues or ornaments in fish tanks but I think the simplicity of this one works because you've carried it through with the bamboo and 'tree canopy' look.

I'm sure your betta will find it truly enlightening glasshoppa!

ps are you adding CO2 ? - I have looked back through the thread and haven't seen it mentioned - mind you I do occasionally suffer from 'cant see it for looking syndrome'.

think that looks awesome, best scape you've had all through it, hardly ever see stuff like that and it's ace. ooh i'm feeling all inspired :D
