Hi there,

Im pretty new to this but learning quickly. I have bought a 115L tank and I was looking at keeping lake mawali fish but since researching I have realised that my tank is a bit on the small side for that! Could anyone recommend some good interesting fish to keep?

Thanks

James

agreed with pippoodle,
cycling is a must and with a tank that small, i suggest betta fish you can do females only(short and small finned)
or 1 male betta ( colorful and long finned)

you can add more due to it's nature, but im suggesting buying somthing bigger, you should have saved that money you spent on 115L for 10gallon atleast or 20 at best, but 115L is a good start and good luck if you choose betta fish

( dont buy goldfish, cause they can GROW VERY BIGGGGGGG and HUGEE)

115 L is approx 30 Gallons I think, so a bit more scope then just Bettas, I would think many of the Dwarf Cichlids would be happy in there, there are also other African Lake Fish that would enjoy that size tank such as Shell dwellers from lake Tanganyika. Also you might want to consider Rams, Dwarf Cockatoo's and the like. Depending on your water hardness. Of course Fishless cycle is the way to go.
